I’m Karen Post, a.k.a The Branding Diva® and the leader behind this site and its products. If you don’t know me yet, let me share some background.
The odds are very good that you have never heard of me (unless you read The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Entrepreneur Magazine or Fast Company, or watch FOX TV, CBS’s The Early Show, Bloomberg TV or listen to NPR. I’ve been featured on all of those for my branding expertise and many more). That is because for the past 28 years (OK, I started very young), I have been working with companies in diverse industries around the world, behind the scenes, helping their businesses grow with breakthrough marketing.

Most of my friends don’t have a clue what I do for a living, but the ones that do say that I have ‘the magic sauce’.
The fact is, that is awfully close to the truth. Creativity and thoughtful marketing (which result in powerful brands), is what I live and breathe every day, as they are both powerful cosmic ingredients for a successful restaurant venture.
So if I’ve worked for all of these mega, global brands, what am I doing talking to you about small business and maybe even first-time restaurant marketing?
Ironically, my first professional marketing assignment was with a small business/new restaurant in the 1980s. And since then, I’ve worked with every business sector you can imagine from chemical companies to professional athletes. But food service, hospitality and culinary experience projects have been, and remain, my favorite industry.
You see, I’m a serious foodie. I love to cook, dine, drink wine and eat. I’ve also traveled the world and have experienced some of the best and worst dining establishments on the planet.
For years, big companies have paid me millions of dollars to help them with branding and marketing. I know most first-time and small-business restaurant owners can’t afford those fees, but they need the help more than anyone. So why not create a blog, services and products that are affordable and can make a difference for any size restaurant?
